Exposed: A compromise choice for Nobel Prize


According to what has been described as declassified information “released” yesterday, the Nobel Prize authority, Swedish Academy has reopened controversy surrounding American author, John Steinbeck's Nobel prize of 1962.

A Swedish Academy, according to The Guardian  revealed that Steinbeck who beat British authors Robert Graves and Lawrence Durrell was a compromise choice.

"There aren't any obvious candidates for the Nobel prize and the prize committee is in an unenviable situation," wrote committee member Henry Olsson.
