Ghanaian-born Fuse ODG sweeps music awards in U.K


Few days ago, in London, Ghanaian-born British singer, Fuse ODG emerged winner at this year’s Urban Music Awards.

In winning the top award, ODG (real name Nana Richard Abiona) who is seen as a rising star in the U.K., beats other nominees such as Michael Kiwanuka, Lianne La Havas and Rudimental. He also won  prizes for Best Music Video, Best Single and Best Collaboration for his Top 10 single Antenna featuring former Fugee Wyclef Jean.

ODG who won The Best African Act at last month’s MOBO Awards in Glasgow, U.K was actually nominated in six categories.

Other winners of the night include Diplo, Laura Mvula and Avicii who picked  Best Producer, Best Female Artist and Best Electronic Act in that order just as Ghetts won Best Male Artist.


Also on the awardee list are Kiss, Best Radio Station and the duo, Krept and Konan as Best Group.
