U.S. Museum gets new curator for African art



A new curator for African art, Nichole N. Bridges has been named for St. Louis Art Museum, U.S.
Nichole Bridges

Bridges, a former associate curator at Newark Museum will join the St Louis Museum as has as associate curator for African art, as well as associate curator overseeing the Museum’s Department of the Arts of Africa, Oceania and the Americas.   

Ahead of her last job at Newark Museum, Bridges was head of the Department of the Arts of Africa, the Americas, Asia, and the Pacific Islands at the Baltimore Museum of Art, U.S..

Founded  in 1879,Saint Louis Art Museum collects, presents, interprets, and conserves works of art of the highest quality across time and cultures; educates, inspires discovery, and elevates the human spirit; and preserves a legacy of artistic achievement for the people of St. Louis and the world.
