Charles Gaines are in conversation with Anne Ellegood, Senior Curator, Hammer Museum on Monday, May 21, 2018 at The Broad Stage, Santa Monica College Performing Arts Center.
Organised by Eli and Edythe Broad Stage, Santa Monica, and Sotheby's Institute of Art, Los Angeles, in partnership with Claremont Graduate University, the event themed ARTISTS TALK: A Conversation with L.A. Artists is the second program in a series of talks with influential California-based artists. It is designed to explore the living legacy of Los Angeles' vibrant contemporary art scene. Executive producer of the Artists Talk series is William Turner.
Moderated by Anne Ellegood, Senior Curator, Hammer Museum, it holds at 6:30pm Reception.

Akunyili Crosby b.1983 and lives in Los Angeles is a 2017 awardee of MacArthur Fellow.
Gaines, b.1944, is described as "promoment artist of conceptualism and an educator at the California Institute of the Arts."
